Work to resurface Inglewood Hill Road between 228th Ave SE and 216th Ave SE is scheduled to start next week on Monday, Oct. 7. Crews will mill the edges of the existing pavement and intersections, and place a new, hot asphalt surface. During construction, traffic control personnel will be working to minimize impacts to the motoring public and pedestrians, and keep workers safe. When practical, the crew will keep lanes open in both directions, but at times traffic will have to take turns sharing one lane with flaggers controlling the direction. In the course of most of this work, travel delays should be 10 minutes or less. During the actual paving, however, delays may be longer. It’s anticipated the paving will be done between Wednesday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Oct. 11, weather permitting.
It may be a couple of days between the time the pavement edges are milled and the new surface goes down. Please drive with caution and give bicyclists plenty of space. If you have any questions regarding the project, please contact Jim Grueber in the Public Works Department (425) 445-9037.
