As it does every year, the city will host a special meeting for potential Eagle Scouts on Thursday, Jan. 9, at 4 p.m. The goal? To provide youngsters with options for their Eagle Scout projects. Other organizations, like the “Friends of Cedar River Watershed,” will also be present to brainstorm project ideas.

“We’ve had kids do some very interesting work in connection with the city as they ascended to the rank of Eagle Scout,” Dawn Sanders, the city’s volunteer coordinator, said. “We’re looking forward to another very productive meeting on Jan. 9.”

There is still plenty of time for additional organizations to join in. If you have appropriate project options for these young Scouts, please contact Sanders at dsanders@sammamish.us or 425-295-0556.
