Drivers can expect one more night of full closure on Front Street under the Interstate 90 overpass in Issaquah as contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation replace a damaged bridge girder.
The girder was damaged in March 2015 when a garbage truck punched a hole in the I-90 overpass.
The crews need to fully close Front Street to remove the damaged piece of the overpass the night of Thursday, May 12, to install the new 114-foot long bridge girder.
What drivers can expect
- Front Street will close in both directions at 10 p.m. the night of May 12.
- Two lanes of eastbound I-90 will close at the same time.
- Lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following day.
Work on the $1.2 million project will be complete in July.
