Issaquah Fall City Road – 242nd Ave SE to Klahanie Dr SE

Summary

The Issaquah Fall City Road project will widen this important corridor between 242nd Ave SE to Klahanie Dr SE. The initial design concept is a 5-lane section with bike lanes, landscape, and sidewalks. Project design began March 23, 2016, with design completion scheduled for May 2017. Construction is scheduled for Summer 2018, for compatibility with grant funding applications.

Project Update

Thank you for joining us at the May 12 and July 13th Public Meetings. Intersection and roadway design options were available for public viewing on July 13th. Meetings have occurred between the City of Sammamish and the Issaquah School District and the Eastridge Church as we work towards 30% design decisions.

Goals and Benefits

As part of the newly annexed section of the City, SE Issaquah-Fall City Road is a vital connection route to existing residents of the City of Sammamish and surrounding communities. This project will increase the capacity of the roadway segment by widening the roadway from an existing 2-lane section to 5-lanes. The project will also promote the City’s goals of complete streets by including bike lanes and sidewalks along this corridor.
