The Sammamish Youth Board consists of teens that have the drive to make a change in Sammamish. The board looks for teens that have creative input and have the follow-through to make their ideas heard. Applicants should be interested in planning events for youth and sharing their voice to affect the future of the City of Sammamish. Applications open each February for the next service year.
Responsibilities
- Help coordinate and participate in monthly community service projects. For example, food drives, Adopt-a-Road, and park or trail restoration projects;
- Volunteer at community-wide events, such as Fourth on the Plateau, Frosty Fest, etc.;
- Maintain relationships with community members, such as the Parks Commission, School Superintendents, City Police, and City Council.
