The six-year TIP draws from Sammamish’s 20-year Transportation Master Plan.

The City develops funding estimates for the TIP based on anticipated revenues from real estate excise taxes (REET), transportation impact fees and federal, state and local grants.  Some projects are also funded using the City’s surface water capital fund when the project has a dual stormwater purpose or includes stormwater components.

The projects that are considered are typically identified in long range plans through maintenance analysis and through community feedback.  The TIP is updated annually to reflect changes to project timelines, funding estimates and long-range plan recommendations.

Note: The TIP will be incorporated into the Capital Improvement Plan in 2025.
