City of Sammamish boards and commissions study a variety of issues that are important to the community, take in public testimony, perform independent research, and review staff reports and recommendations. The advisory boards then are able to discuss, analyze, formulate, and forward well-developed, thoughtful recommendations to the City Council.
Why Serve? Sammamish’s Boards and Commissions are designed to give residents a voice in their government and allow them to help with the decisions that shape the quality of life for our community. Participation on a board or commission is one of the most effective steps an individual can take in becoming an active voice in their government.
In addition, the skills, commitment, talent, knowledge, and enthusiasm of our community board and commission volunteers enhance those of our elected officials and help ensure that our local government is truly addressing the needs of the Sammamish community through the services, planning, and decision making provided by each board.
Applications are due by 5pm Thursday, February 2, 2023. Applicant interviews are scheduled for the City Council meeting 6:30pm Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
