City of Sammamish canceling in-person events through July 4, 2021.

The Parks, Recreation, and Facilities department are canceling all regular, in-person special events through July 4. With the uncertainty of large in-person events being able to happen in early 2021 due to the current pandemic and the necessary budget reduction, the City had to make the difficult decision to cancel the following large in-person events:

  • Sammamish Lunar New Year Celebration – February 13
  • Sammamish Earth Day – April 25
  • Rig-A-Palooza – May 16
  • Fourth on the Plateau – July 4

Sammamish Parks, Recreation and Facilities department will still offer a variety of virtual shows, virtual interactive programs and events, drive-through events, and much more to engage with the community during this time. We recognize the importance of events in bringing the community together to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere at our parks, and we look forward to a time when we can all celebrate Sammamish together.

Please keep your eye out for these great activities and programs at www.sammamish.us. For more information on Parks programming, please contact Chris Jordan, Recreation & Cultural Services Manager at cjordan@sammamish.us.
