Local landscaping work

Tree trimming and other vegetation work will occur June 14-17 mostly from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. along Southeast 24th Street between 251st Avenue Southeast and the entrance to Beaver Lake Lodge. Traffic control will be on scene, directing alternating traffic.

Maintenance crews will continue the 228th Avenue Southeast clean up and mulching June 18-20. Expect a single-lane closure northbound at Northeast 4th Street.

Signal Cabinet Replacement

City staff will replace the traffic signal cabinet at 228th Ave Northeast and Northeast 4th Street on Tuesday June 25. This work is part of the traffic signal infrastructure improvement program. Work will take place from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and the signal will be dark during most of this time.

Uniformed police officers will be present, directing traffic at the intersection for the duration of this work. Drivers should expect delays and use caution when traveling through this intersection during this time.

PSE starts work on Louis Thompson Road power lines

The City and its partners are gearing up for work on Louis Thompson Road. Puget Sound Energy is currently replacing and raising the height of light poles in the project area. This work is being done to keep power lines clear from the City's construction. 

Some vegetation will need to be removed in the vicinity of existing poles to facilitate new pole installation. In addition, the canopy of large trees will be trimmed to create clearance for the electric wires on these taller poles. Electrical work will began June 14. PSE expects this work to be completed by the end of July.

Women's PGA Championship to come to Sammamish in June

The 2024 Women’s PGA Championship returns to Sahalee Country Club June 20-23. Traffic around the area could be heavier than normal.
