Cone Zone 9/6/24: Sammamish Traffic Updates

Ziply to work on communications lines

Ziply will be working on overhead communication lines starting Aug. 26 on East Lake Sammamish Parkway. This work will last approximately two weeks with traffic control and some delays. Work hours will be from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

ADA Barrier Removal Project

Crews will demolish and replace non-compliant curb ramps. The far-right northbound lane will be intermittently closed on 228th Avenue Southeast between Southeast 13th Street and Issaquah Pine Lake Road. There will be traffic control trucks and signage directing drivers into the left lane Sept. 5 – Sept. 13. Work will be done between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

24th Street Sidewalk Project

Crews will pave the eastbound lane of Southeast 24th Street between 251st Avenue Southeast and the entrance to the Beaver Lake Lodge Sept. 15 – Sept. 19 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. One lane will be closed at a time, with signage and flaggers directing alternating traffic in the other lane. 

Beaver Lake Triathlon

The Beaver Lake Triathlon is Sept. 8, which will include a 4.3 mile run around Beaver Lake and the surrounding neighborhood streets. This could impact traffic between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
