Learn more about how to prepare for emergencies

It is National Preparedness Month!

National Preparedness Month is recognized each September to promote family and community disaster planning now and throughout the year.

Talking about bad things that could happen like a disaster or emergency isn’t always easy. We may think we’re protecting the people we love by avoiding these conversations, but they are important to start taking steps to get ready and stay safe.

Learn how to be ready for emergencies by going to a fair on Sept. 14 from 12-3 p.m. at 26529 SE Duthie Hill Road. The City, Eastside Fire & Rescue, King County, Puget Sound Energy and more of our partners will be available, providing resources and learning opportunities.
