Program Update: Community Van

Community Van trip requests will be managed by Hopelink starting in October. King County Metro’s Community Van program provides a van for pre-scheduled trips—as a driver or as a passenger. Schedule your ride in advance or volunteer to drive your neighbors or your own family. You can use Community Van to run errands, get to appointments, or attend activities and outings! Visit King County's Website to learn more and book a ride!

What is Community Van?

This is a rideshare program brought to Sammamish neighborhoods by King County Metro in partnership with Hopelink and the City of Sammamish. This service provides rides for 2+ passengers, either one-time or recurring, to popular destinations throughout the region. Trips are available throughout the day, evening, and on weekends to provide you with customized options for getting around when bus service and Metro Flex don't meet your needs.

How it Works?

  • Community members travel together in King County Metro vans to local destinations throughout the day, evening and weekends.
  • Riders can contact their CTC or fill out a trip request form at least two business days in advance.
  • Trips and stops are organized ahead of time by the Community Trip Coordinator (CTC).
  • Accessible community vans are available upon request. Inform the CTC about your needs before your trip.

The new Hopelink CTC will be starting on September 27th.
