Project Overview
Originally constructed over 30 years ago, the athletic field improvements at Inglewood Middle School will convert the underutilized natural grass softball field, baseball field, multi-purpose field, and track into a facility with synthetic turf multi-purpose fields and lights, a new restroom with storage, perimeter fencing and netting, spectator furnishings, stormwater improvements, landscaping, and irrigation. This project is in partnership with Lake Washington School District to significantly increase athletic field availability on the plateau. With flat land being scarce in the City of Sammamish, these kinds of partnerships are critical to addressing the needs identified in the City’s 2018 Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan, as well the City’s 2019 Athletic Field Study.
