COVID-19 alert - current status of parks

Welcome to Sammamish parks! Our parks system includes many different types of amenities and activities for you and your family, from lakes and beaches to even a treehouse! As you enjoy your time in our park areas, please remember to recreate responsibility and be safe while having fun. These guidelines are meant to encourage positive behavior in our parks and trails, keep public places safe and welcoming, and maintain the high quality of maintenance and cleanliness for all our park properties.

Park Hours:

City of Sammamish open spaces, trails, park areas and associated marine areas are open from dawn to 30 minutes after sunset.

Parking lot gates are open from 8am to 30 minutes after sunset.

For information or to report vandalism, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at (425) 295-0585 or email us at: This number is monitored weekdays 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You may also use the City’s new service My Sammamish to submit your report.

If you are reporting a police matter such as a parking, traffic complaint or any non-emergency incident, please call our 24-hour communications center at (206) 296-3311 or report online using the King County Sheriff's Office Online Reporting System.

If your life is in danger or you witness a crime being committed, please call 911.

Park Rules:

Please observe the following rules. Sammamish Municipal Code Title 7A (Parks & Recreation):

  • Dogs and/or domestic animals must be kept on a leash no longer than 16 feet
  • Dogs and/or domestic animal’s feces are to be disposed of in a trash receptacle
  • Commercial watercraft are prohibited associated marine areas
  • Cutting, removal or destruction of plant life or property is prohibited
  • Parking in designated areas only / no parking after closing time
  • Park users must follow all state laws in accordance to firearms and dangerous weapons (Chapter 9.41 RCW), including but not limited to carrying, aiming and discharging firearms or dangerous weapons capable of producing bodily harm
  • Household and/or commercial garbage dumping is prohibited
  • Overnight camping is prohibited
  • Model aircraft and rockets are not permitted
  • Horseback riding is permitted on trails unless posted and designated
  • Swimming is prohibited in boat launch areas
  • Swimming is allowed in designated areas only
  • Motor vehicles are prohibited on trails, open spaces and park areas
  • All fireworks are prohibited
  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited
  • Tobacco products are prohibited
  • Please use provided trash receptacles
  • Please refrain from feeding wildlife
