Very Merry Sammamish 2019

Interested in Very Merry Sammamish 2020?

City of Sammamish has plans to kick off the holidays with its largest Very Merry Sammamish celebration to-date. The event will take place on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm., at Sammamish Commons Plaza with the tree lighting scheduled for 6:30 pm inside City Hall.

This highly-anticipated, family-friendly event is a Sammamish tradition that brings the community together to share a festive evening of activities, food and entertainment. This year the event has been expanded to include even more holiday lights as well as two entertainment stages featuring school choirs and youth dance performances. In addition, music will be provided by the Eastside Fire & Rescue Holiday Truck and food trucks and other vendors will be on site with treats for purchase. Other fun activities include face painting and photos with Santa, along with game booths and craft booths promising fun for all ages.

Additionally, one of the most popular event activities, the holiday petting zoo, will offer visitors a chance to meet a camel, alpacas, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs and many other friendly animals.

In an effort to ensure a merry holiday for more local children, residents are encouraged to bring any new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots toy drive. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corp Reserve which distributes toys to children who may otherwise not receive gifts for the holidays.
