We want to hear from you–complete our budget survey!

The City of Sammamish is developing its 2025-2026 biennial budget with the intent to maintain its current high level of service to the community and invest in critical infrastructure projects. The City has two goals for enhancing the upcoming biennial budget:

  • Improving the revenue and expenditure forecasts and budgets to better align with the current level of services. This will increase transparency and better show the City’s fiscal position.
  • Develop a citywide Capital Improvement Program (CIP) so the community understands the major capital projects planned for the next six years. This will also help the community see how decisions made in 2025-2026 may affect future opportunities and challenges.

The City is primarily funded through Property and Sales Taxes, alongside some additional but smaller revenue sources. The City receives only a small portion of Property and Sales taxes. Depending on the school district your home is located in, your Property Tax rate will vary. Three school districts service Sammamish.
